Boxer shorts – from department store to quiet luxury:

The first prototype of our boxer shorts was created in 1983.

1990 to 2008: Our ‘Vienna Years’: More art than craftsmanship.

There, drawing on our ‘Tailored Approach’, we developed the ‘Vienna Lined’ boxer shorts: the most agreeable boxer shorts should, of course, be made from the finest cotton fabric. As with men’s shirts, the key indicator of quality here is, above all, a cotton staple length of 38 mm or more.

For underwear, the ‘Piumino’ 100/120 from Cotonificio Albini that we have chosen, with a fabric weight of just over 80g/m², is simply too light to be wearable as underwear. Hence the design of a boxer short built around it, which features the ‘Piumino’-fabric on the front. Furthermore, "Piumino" covers all the seams (except for the fly) on the inside of the item.

This allows you to enjoy a consistent feel, regardless of the outer fabric. The weights and weaves vary here: from poplin at 85 g/m² to Oxford at up to 124 g/m², and all variations in between.
